How to Set Up Call Forwarding for Your Business
A step-by-step guide to forwarding your business calls to Qallio so you never miss a customer again.
Why call forwarding matters
Service businesses live and die by the phone. Salons, clinics, restaurants, and workshops lose real revenue every time a call goes unanswered. Call forwarding sends those calls to Qallio, which answers in seconds, takes the request, and texts you the details so you can keep working.
You keep your existing number. Customers do not notice anything different. Qallio only steps in when you cannot answer.
What you need
- An active Qallio account
- Your business phone number
- The Qallio forwarding number from your dashboard
- A few minutes to test the setup
Step-by-step guide
- Log into your Qallio dashboard at app.qallio.com.
- Navigate to Settings, then Phone & Notifications.
- Copy the forwarding number assigned to your account.
- On your business phone, enter the forwarding code for your carrier together with the Qallio number.
- Choose your forwarding rule: always, when busy, or when unanswered.
- Call your own number from another phone and confirm Qallio picks up.
Tips and best practices
- Use 'when unanswered' so you keep first dibs on every call.
- Test the flow during off-hours before busy periods.
- Brief your team so they know Qallio is the backup voice.
- Forward your mobile too if you take calls on the move.
Troubleshooting
If Qallio does not answer, check that the forwarding number was entered correctly and that your carrier actually accepts forwarding on your plan. Some prepaid plans block it.
If text messages do not arrive, confirm the notification number in Settings, then send a test summary from the dashboard.
